This extremely cool, pulsating red or red & blue (Our choice.) glass plasma lamp is an undulating pointed ribbon shape (you Kiss fans can just think Gene Simmons' tongue), 17-3/4" tall OA, and as eerily fascinating as, well, Gene Simmons' tongue. Through our little black-plastic right-angle viewer. It's a 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" hexagon, and Paul says that if you buy (2) you can see eye-to-eye with yourself, which is a little spooky. Great for a little light spying on the street, and if you find a way to stick it over the lens of a small digital camera, you'll get great candid shots.

Cut Right To It
This all-purpose scissors is the favorite of everyone at A.S.&S.: Pat uses his to cut and strip wire. C.J. uses his to slit the tape on packages. Mary Ann uses hers to open bags of pretzels. It's 6-1/4" long overall, with a very sharp 2" stainless steel blade and large, comfortable handles. It would sell for $9.95 retail if it was new, but it was used for one day to cut cloth in the assembly plant of a major car company, then discarded. Quality control is a wonderful thing.

Floral Tools
Including a rose wrench and hibiscus pliers. Yes, we're kidding. What we have here is a dandy little 4-piece set of small tools, including a pair of 4-1/4" long side cutters, a pair of 5-3/8" long shears with 1-3/4" long blades, a pair of 4-7/8" long-nose pliers with cutters, and a 2-1/4" jackknife, all with dark-green plastic handles and in a matching zippered carrying case. The manufacturer calls them floral tools, which they'd be just dandy at, but we think they're equally handy for any closeup craft or electronics work, or just as a desk-drawer emergency toolkit.
