So you can decorate it, you crafty thing. This tan-colored papier mache mask is 8-3/8" tall x 5-3/8" wide at the eyes, pretty much the size of your average human face. The side curves around so the mask is 1-3/8" deep. The material is 1/32" thick and very sturdy. Not crafty? Left unpainted, the mask has a certain spooky charm.

Plus, of course, the one you already know how to make, but imagine how sick your kids are of that one. This highly origamian, 120pp book has the plans for (25) ingenious paper airplanes, including some stunt fliers. Our favorite is The Flying Pig because you can make "when pigs fly" jokes at meetings and then use the agenda to construct it. Written by David Mitchell for PRC Publishing.

This clever little artist's brush holder/cleaner will keep those oil or watercolor brushes standing up (or down) straight with their little heads under water or paint thinner, clean and un-bent until you need them. A 4" dia x 2" deep aluminum cup is topped by a 6" tall U-shaped handle with a brush-holding spring across the top. Inside the cup is a mesh screen (with its own handle) for to clean the paint off and let it settle to the bottom, away from the bristles. The handle is removable for storage or travel.

Open, close or move whatever with this mighty little 3-12VDC 4RPM gear motor designed to operate a vent in a Chrysler product. Draws just 15mA no-load and stalls at 200mA. Output is via a 1/2" dia x 1/2" long sprocketed shaft. The case measures a diminutive 4-1/8" x 3-1/4" x 1" thick with (3) arms with 1/4" mounting holes. No leads, but the gearbox pops open to get into it and there are (2) terminal clips that hit the motor.

These are new, and were built to power one of those little kiddy-car vehicles, so they have enough torque to propel a toddler. They're reversible, run 3-6VDC with nominal voltage of 6VDC, 230 rpm, and draw 1A no load. In a gray and yellow plastic housing, 7" long x 3-5/8" x 2-1/2" thick, with (2) 15" leads. The business end has a plastic gear that would be relatively simple to match with a bar plate or a 2-5/16" round with a half-dozen 1/2" circles drilled out of the edge. Robo-heads and tinkerers are going to love this motor and its price.

Good-bye backaches. Save your sacroiliac with a 3-wheeled professional mover's dolly. It measures 6-3/8" wide between a trio of swivel casters with 1-9/16" x 11/16" wheels, and has a drop-down center and a 1/2" dia hole for permanent attachment to frequently moved items. (Think school pianos.) Steel construction, 110 lb max load, and rubber pads above each wheel. Stands 2-1/2" tall. We think ordering (4) would be a good place to start. (Three, if it's a grand piano.)
