And we do mean micro. Sizes #61 to #80 (yes, that is twenty different bits) which are from 0.013 to 0.038 inches diameter!! The big boys sell a set of similar bits (carbon steel, like ours) for about $30.00!! Maybe theirs aren't from China.

Rotary Tool Set

A Tool That Fits Right In
When you're in a tight spot and things are falling apart all around you, reach for this close-quarters drill. A nifty power tool that fits inside a kitchen cabinet, between two studs, or under a set of shelves, it's 9" x 3-1/4" x 2-3/4" OA, with a 3/8" chuck at a 55° angle. Full of power but easy to maneuver, thanks to the narrow, right-behind-the-chuck handhold. It draws approx 3.8 amps at 120 VAC, and has a paddle switch that allows variable speeds up to 1400 rpm. Physics project alert! This robust puppy of a magnet has dual 6V coils and stands 4" high x 3-1/4" wide, not counting the side terminals. Each coil draws 2.4A at 6VDC, and is conservatively rated for 40 Newtons (approx 9 lbs) at that voltage. Can be wired in either parallel or series, and comes with a mounting hook. Aluminum, On A Roll
Mega-useful aluminum tape. A 2" wide x 50-yard roll of .004" thick aluminum on a 3" core. Has a paper backing and is conductive on the non-adhesive side. Reflects heat and light, useful for seaming riveted aluminum sheets, particularly good for cold weather and metal repairs. Our fisherman friends love to wrap wooden lures with it and work it with a piece of soft wood for metal-finish effects.

Thermoelectric Demo Unit
Calling all physics teachers: This slick, semiconductor-based unit demonstrates the Peltier effect (conversion of electricity into heat and cold) and the reverse Seebeck effect. Designed to work with a couple of standard foam coffee cups. The unit has a Peltier junction sandwiched between (2) 1-3/4" x approx 7" long aluminum brackets and is connected to a small DC motor with a blade, (2) banana-plug sockets, and a switch between them. Good instructions, despite their spelling Peltier as "Peltire." Made in the U.S. for Pacific Science Supplies, Inc.
