If you like bowls that say "Pretzels" and address books that say "Addresses," you'll love this 4" x 2-1/2" x 1-5/16" black-plastic box the says "MOM'S JEWELRY BOX" on it in white. It has a mirror on the inside of the hinged lid, a cheesy red liner, and a light-activated music box that plays a snatch of Beethoven - after you find the little electronic device under the removable lining and put in a couple of watch batteries (not included). If you're not into labeling, Mom can be rubbed out with a little denatured alcohol (along with any other letters you choose). Lift out the music module, and you're left with a snazzy black box you can use for storing any number of small items. And you thought it was going to be tacky!

Wooden Mini-Crates
With faux-vintage signs pasted on the end panels. Think miniature versions of old wooden orange crates, finished with a dark stain. They're all 5-1/2" x 4-3/4" x 3" tall, in sets of (4), each set with (4) different designs. The Route 66 versions bear classic ads for the highway; the restaurant crates will have "Spike's Tavern," "Crawdad Hole," or similar labels; and the saloon crates carry old tavern signs ("Pay Toilet - 10 cents," or something similar). Cut Right To It
This all-purpose scissors is the favorite of everyone at A.S.&S.: Pat uses his to cut and strip wire. C.J. uses his to slit the tape on packages. Mary Ann uses hers to open bags of pretzels. It's 6-1/4" long overall, with a very sharp 2" stainless steel blade and large, comfortable handles. It would sell for $9.95 retail if it was new, but it was used for one day to cut cloth in the assembly plant of a major car company, then discarded. Quality control is a wonderful thing.

Good-bye backaches. Save your sacroiliac with a 3-wheeled professional mover's dolly. It measures 6-3/8" wide between a trio of swivel casters with 1-9/16" x 11/16" wheels, and has a drop-down center and a 1/2" dia hole for permanent attachment to frequently moved items. (Think school pianos.) Steel construction, 110 lb max load, and rubber pads above each wheel. Stands 2-1/2" tall. We think ordering (4) would be a good place to start. (Three, if it's a grand piano.)
