Light 'n' Laser Twofer
A bright little flashlight with (8) super-bright white LEDs in a circle and a less-than-5mW red laser right in the middle. One click and it's a flashlight, another click and it's a laser pointer. (Note: flashlight and pointer can't be on at the same time.) Measures 4-3/8" long x 1-1/8" dia in dark silver, red or blue aluminum with knurled grips at both ends, and comes with a black-canvas belt pouch and a wrist strap. Lasts 30 hours on a set of new alkaline batteries (3 "AAA" heavy duty batteries included).

We've Got A Handle
Well, we've got a handle on this one, anyway. And it needs one, cuz it'll grab onto (and hold onto) 100 lbs if the surface is flat. Which means you've got an instant handle for moving big steel stuff. With its open-ended handle, it even works as a no-installation hook on an I-beam. Handle and magnet together are 5" long x 3-1/2" tall x 1' thick, with a plastic body for the ceramic magnets, and a rubberized grip. Paul says it's quite, well, handy.

Superior Rubber Bands
Because they gots more rubber content than your regular, non-superior rubber bands. It says so on the box. They're also "pale crepe gold" in color, which is your traditionally favored rubber band color. Our each is box of at least (300) Alliance rubber bands, each a 7" long loop without stretching it, and 1/8" thick, in a tissue-style perf-top box. Really, really stretchy.

Fun On The Fridge
Even as you read this, our office refrigerator is playing all by itself. Yours could, too, if you had this extremely cool set of automatic working-gear fridge magnets. Very instructive for budding engineers, just plain fun to watch, and, we assume, amusing for the ice box itself. You'll get (20) 3/8" thick plastic gears in assorted neon colors, all of which interlock in various patterns and turn all by themselves, driven by the 5" dia x 2" thick motorized gear/picture frame that runs on a couple of "AA"s that you provide. Gears include (7) at 4-5/8" dia and 3-1/2" dia and (6) at 2-1/2" dia. Buncha bright stickers included at no extra cost.

Call it DIY signage or fridge magnets. Our each is (3) sheets of very cool magnetic white paper, 8-1/2" x 11", ready to paint or draw on, and thin enough to cut it to the shape you need. What'll they think of next?!?

Egypto-Chess Laser Game
Board games meet Ramses in the 21st century. Khet, The Laser Game, is played on an 80-square grid with a pharaoh and obelisk playing king and pawn, sort of, plus a mirrored pyramid and a wandering "djed," and it's chess-like, except for the lasers firing from the corners and bouncing off the mirrors. The board measures 17-3/8" x 14-1/4" x 1-1/4" tall and the game is over when the pharaoh gets zapped. Includes (4) "AAA" batteries. For (2) players, ages 9 and up. Double the fun by adding the Eye of Horus Beam Splitters to the basic game (our each is a set of 2), and fire two lasers where there was a single one.

Magnifies from 20X to 400X. (Has a 7.5mm field of view at 20X, 1mm at 400X.) Resolution is 1.3MP. The unit measures 5" long x 1-3/8" dia with a 60" cord, and a built-in white LED illuminator. From our never-ending supply of stuff that does more than one thing: Picture frames with flat, invisible, speakers built in right behind your favorite 5" x 7" pix. One of them even has a hidden radio in the back. Our each is a nice pair of 9-5/8" x 7-3/4" clear-finish wood frames that will stand on a table or hang from the wall. Both are 4-ohm speakers and one has a small 5W amplifier/FM tuner as well, but they're really made to connect to a computer, CD or MP3 player. Good Glitter Goop
Good goop in a nice transparent egg-shaped-and-size plastic container. This goop is an attractive orangey pink with gold glitter, orangey green with green glitter or a purpley blue with blue glitter and is slightly gooier than putty, but much more dense than slime. (On our American Scientific Putty/Slime Viscosity Scale, which is the same range as pH, we rank this as 2.7.) Ball it up and it'll bounce; squeeze it and it's perfect worry goop.
