Collecting staple removers instead of rare stamps? Here's a start: In addition to the standard 2-1/8" long V-shaped, 4-fanged remover, we have a 3-3/4" long scissors-type staple puller with a finger hole and thumb pad. Counting your thumbnail, that would make three, so far.

Looking for a very, very, very long refrigerator magnet? At 15 ft, this 7/16" wide x 1/16" thick magnetic strip should just about go up one side, across the top, and down the other side. It's flexible, but can be broken if bent back against itself -- which means that small children can make craft magnets without having to cut the strip or themselves! We love it when a plan comes together!

Pick up this 1-3/4" x 7/8" x 3/8" ceramic pick-up magnet while we still have it. It's in a heavy metal housing and has a stationary metal hoop, about 1/2" i.d., on top. The manufacturer tells us the magnet will grab up to 30 lbs of metal, and while Pat wouldn't bet on anything over 20 lbs, it's still very strong. Especially if you're going to dangle it on the end of a cord to gather spilled nails or to fish your keys out of the lake/pond/sewer/drain!

We're not sure, but he's close to our hearts, since Gd is a magnetic metal of the rare-earth group, and you know how we love rare earth magnets. Executive toy consisting of a translucent plastic container, roughly 4" wide 6-3/4" tall x3/4" thick mounted on a swivel on a stand. The container has (1) clear and (2) colored, translucent immiscible fluids. Flip the container on the swivel and an ever changing series of blips and blops of color drift slowly down from the top to the bottom while bubbles and steams of clear rise from bottom to top. A mix of colors results as the blobs appear singly or overlap: red and blue single colors also yield purple patterns. Fascinating.

What's in the goody bag at the entomologist's birthday party? Why, crickets on a stick, of course, inside a nice cinnamon, grape, mint or orange lollipop. Or maybe a tasty worm-like larva under watermelon-, apple-, orange- or tequila-flavored candy. The luckiest kids, of course, get the scorpion in blueberry, banana, apple or strawberry. We'll pick (2) flavors of whatever crawly snack you prefer. And feel free to order as many as you like: we won't run out -- we get a batch of new suckers every day.
