Open it is just under 2 ft long including the swivel head, perfect for fishing under the radiator, in the depths of the bilge or at the back of the rattler's cage.

Magnetic Retrievers

The size of a pen when retracted, this telescoping pickup tool has a 1/2" dia magnet on the business end, and a pocket clip on the other end. The 5-3/8" long gold- and silver-colored version extends to 27 -3/4" OA and has an 8-lb pull. The 4 -3/8" long type with the black case extends to only 22" OA and has only a 5-lb pull, but the wand's last 2 -1/2" is a flexible spring - and being able to bend around a corner can make up for being a few inches shorter.

Wooden Mini-Crates

With faux-vintage signs pasted on the end panels. Think miniature versions of old wooden orange crates, finished with a dark stain. They're all 5-1/2" x 4-3/4" x 3" tall, in sets of (4), each set with (4) different designs. The Route 66 versions bear classic ads for the highway; the restaurant crates will have "Spike's Tavern," "Crawdad Hole," or similar labels; and the saloon crates carry old tavern signs ("Pay Toilet - 10 cents," or something similar). Good for gifties, party favors, centerpieces, like that.
