Foam is not just for the top of a beer anymore. No, now you can protect your floor, counter, concrete, or whatever from damage with our foam discs. One side is super-sticky; attach it to appliances, chairs, maybe even a beer stein. Black, 1/8" thick, 1-3/4" across. But once it's on, it's pert near impossible to remove without destroying the disc. Still, at 10 cents a pop, you can afford to play around.

Rejoice, we have finally found a source of reasonably priced borosilicate lab glassware. This is the kind of glass in the trade marked Pyrex(tm) and Kimax(tm) labware. The stuff you can put right over the flame of the Bunsen burner, or directly onto the hot plate. This stuff is imported from China, and is considered student grade, which is good enough for anything but the most exotic applications. We have beakers, test tubes, graduated cylinders and flasks. Compare the prices below and you will see that they are around half the U.S. equivalent. Call us for larger quantity prices.

Your choice of (3) different kinds of these wonderful lights that are all but invisible, but make whites “glow in the dark”!! Great for Halloween parties, dances, and stimulation of any phosphorescent materials. To avoid eye damage, please do not look directly at the filament of the light. The bulb types are a regular household shaped 60 watt bulb or a 75 watt spotlight shaped bulb. We also have a model which comes complete with a lighting fixture, reflector, and 18” blacklight fluorescent tube. This fluorescent model has a 18 watt bulb and 6 ft cord for a standard 120 vac wall outlet with a switch. Great goolish fun! (Please note: The "bulb" types do not glow as well as the flourescent types)

RA means right angle, which in prismese means two 45° and one 90° angle. Oxidation is how glass rusts, and it looks like a powdery white stain that won't rub off. Really doesn't interfere with the optical use of the prism, but it can be annoying. You have two choices. Ignore it and reap the price advantage, or get some of the polishing compound you use on auto windshields, buff off the surface, and reap the price advantage. These seconds have chips and/or surface scratches. Use them as spectroscopic prisms, put two hypotenuse to hypotenuse as beam splitters. All have 1-1/2" legs and 2" hypotenuses. The thickness varies as noted (sizes are approximate), and the silvered ones (sil) have a reflective coating on the hypotenal face while the plain ones (pl) don't. Remember that the silvered ones, which may make better periscopes, don't work for spectral experiments or as beam splitters.

The classic swinging balls, to amuse you on slow days in the office or physics lab, and to demonstrate Newton's Third Law. Drop one of the five hanging balls, one flies out from the other end; drop two and two fly out; drop three and it's amazing. The balls are set in a 7" x 9" x 9" high wooden frame. Isaac didn't invent these mesmerizing toys, by the way. That took Simon Prebble (whom some of you may remember as the evil Martin Chedwyn on "As the World Turns") who had an energy transference inspiration in 1967. (Where else can one learn these things?)

We have obtained a large number of real natural corks, mostly surplus with a few fill-ins bought commercially. They range across the popular sizes used in science labs to seal vessels (drill your own holes for glass tubing, etc) and to use as floats. Or just use them to seal bottles that don't have closures or cry out for a decorative seal.

Campers put these pads under their sleeping bags to insulate themselves thermally and ergonomically from the hard cruel ground. They call them "Insulite" which sounds like a brand name and they are military grade. We don't know if the items we have are seconds from that company or somewhere else, but we can't tell the difference. They are at least 20" x 60" and are 3/8" thick dense foam rubber. We have light blue, dark blue khaki/green and mauve/purple, from which we shall pick your purchase. One side is glossy with more closed pores than the other. We have used them, and they are great! Feather light too at only 20 oz. Good as light duty tumbling or exercise mats as well.

Detailed dry-transfer rub-ons have an appliqued look, thanks to the "stitch lines" around the edges. Each card, and you'll get (6) of them, has (7) designs with a school theme - an apple, books, pencil, ABC slate, hearts and stars - and comes with a rubbing stick. They'll stick to paper, wood, plastic, metal, glass and other surfaces, so they can decorate boxes, books, exceptional essays and more.
